Three Greenhorns on a Fence

On the third and final evening at Brown County as we enjoyed the ambiance and warmth of our nightly campfire, our laughter and constant chatter were stilled as we watched two newly-arrived guys trying to unload one of their horses from the trailer. Wow! A mini rodeo! We didn't mean to gawk, but in the light of our campfire, we realized we weren't too discreet.

So, the next morning after our "neighbors" announced that they were going to ride the newly-broke filly--the same one which stirred up all the commotion unloading the night before, we Greenhorns positioned ourselves upon a fence hoping to watch a BIG rodeo take place. Wellll, we were glad for them that the filly really WAS broke to the saddle; we just surmised that she just didn't like trailers. Our new neighbors were good sports and snapped these pictures of us! Then they rode off to the hills, and we headed back to IL.
