"Road Riding"
| If you've ever been to Douglas Co. located here in east-central IL, then you know that it is FLAT! It is also mainly farmland which means that if you want to ride your horse, your "trails" are the paved roads! There are few trees.......just acre upon acre of corn and soybeans. So we ride the sections in the open air--usually windy, hot or cold depending on the season, watching for motorized vehicles which zip along the straight, flat country roads. |
