| I had a phone interview with The Oak Ridge Boys' Richard Sterban for
a story for the annual Bagel Gazette, and he sang his part from "Elvira"
to me ("Giddyup, a-oom pah pah, oom pah pah mau mau"). As if that weren't
enough, I also got the opportunity to meet the group backstage before their
Bagelfest concert in July 2001.

I think this is when Richard Sterban informs me that he was wearing
swim trunks during our phone interview. The revelation doesn't daunt Joe
Bonsall, who is concentrating on signing my story in the Bagel Gazette.
